The Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce is proud to award J&M Air Conditioning & Heating, Inc. January 2012 Business of the Month.

The J&M Team is Jack Britton Owner; Jeremy Fojtik, Sales; Sergio Rodriguez, Service; Dana Daniel, Marketing; and last but not least their mascot FREON, who is a big part of their advertising campaign. Freon is not only seen in all the ads, but on Facebook, their Twitter account and his own Blog!...he's One Cool Dog! Based in Rockport, J&M A/C holds to a great belief in the benefits of community service and feels that it is important to be an active part of the communities that they service.

The Aransas Pass Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting for Mack Forty Kennels. Chamber Members and members of the Harbor City Slicker's were on hand to welcome the new members to the Chamber. Owner of the Kennel, Brenda Mack, said "Mack Forty Kennels is a pet haven located on 40 acres of grounds that are covered with beautiful live oaks. If you're like us, your pets have become family members and when you can't be home for them, whether because of work, vacation or other obligations, you want them taken care of with the same love and attention you give them. That's exactly what we do at Mack Forty Kennels. We offer a multitude of services for a variety of pets. Lots of Love from our friendly staff, Indoor (4ft.X 2.5 ft) /out door (10 ft long) access with climate controlled accommodations; Outdoor classic rock & country music in garden yard, water park and all playgrounds; Morning and evening personalized dining; Mid-morning/afternoon Snack-nics in garden yard; Fresh water twice daily or as needed; Shampooing/Bathing; Swimming in fresh water lake; Administration of medicine; Over 3 acres of fenced play ground, including our lake. Ribbon Cutting "A Wine of Mine"

A Wine of Mine, Winery, opened it's doors in October 2011. Though not the usual kind of winery. Here, you the customer, make the wine. Choose a wine flavor from over 100 different flavors and types of kits. We have all the equipment in our facilities to ferment and bottle the wine on the premise. At the end of fermentation time, customers may bring family and friend to their "bottling party" Everyone can produce a quality wine and be proud to say, "May I serve you a wine of mine?" Wine varieties include red, white, sweet and dry. The juice comes from award wining vineyards around the globe. Visit the winery and taste the wines Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Elite Chamber Member, Care Regional Medical Center and Radio Station 106.5 "The Shark" Kicked - Off A Healthy New Year with A Health Fair

Many local vendors and healthcare providers were there and the physicians provide time for 'Meet the Doctor' with Q&A sessions. This event was a very useful, informative, and fun time for our community and all of the participants. Thanks Care Regional!

6th Annual Travel Fair

Texas Coastal Bend Regional Tourism Council hosted the 2012 Travel Fair at the Aransas Pass Civic Center. Visitor’s to the Travel fair included locals as well as our Winter Texans.

January's Informative Chamber Luncheon

Guest Speaker, Scott Cross, Director of Nueces County Parks provided the members an update on the current development and renovation of the Aransas Causeway waterfront recreational area off of Hwy 361. Members enjoyed a delicious lunch catered by Beauty and the Bistro.

Leadership Aransas Pass Class II

has been delving into the community of Aransas Pass during Sessions 4 and 5 researching the "Law Enforcement and Emergency Services" and "Governance within the Community We Live In". Upon graduation in May, the participants will have the strongest potential for future leadership and will have the capability of contributing greatly to Aransas Pass Through their continued service in the Chamber, City and County government and many other worthy endeavors. The mission of LAP is to develop individuals of diverse backgrounds and strengths into cohesive group of leaders committed to positively shape the future of Aransas Pass. Applications for LAP Class III will be available in summer 2012 with the Sessions for that Class starting in September 2012.
